The Pretrib War Continues... Unfortunately, by Dave MacPherson

American evangelicals have been in-fighting over whether their end-time "rapture" is BEFORE or AFTER a future "tribulation" (a.k.a. Antichrist's reign).
The escapist BEFORE (or pretrib) view is obviously the most "comforting" one and is also the most popular one. In fact, books promoting the BEFORE rapture have broken sales records; Hal Lindsey has sold 35 million while Tim LaHaye has surpassed 60 million!
While BEFORE promoters claim that their view is 2000 years old, a recent book by journalist-turned-historian Dave MacPherson entitled "The Rapture Plot" has a tsunami of recently discovered facts showing that the BEFORE belief is less than 200 years old, was invented in 1830 in Scotland, and became a part of American evangelicalism only about a century ago!
The 300 pages of "The Rapture Plot" contain the most accurate documentation on the pretrib rapture's long-covered-up-but-now-revealed history. For endorsements of it by leading scholars (with no axe to grind either for or against the popular pretrib rapture), Google "Scholars Weigh My Research."
For some other shocking Google articles, see "Famous Rapture Watchers," "Pretrib Rapture Secrets," "Pretrib Rapture Pride," "Pretrib Rapture Politics," and "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty." Many of MacPherson's unique writings are on blogs, such as "The End Times Passover," owned by media figure Joe Ortiz.
